Now? Well, Steve is enjoying the same, and more, of the success that he deserves. His vanity project is Grams & Krieger, his blues duo with another great unsung hero, Danny Krieger, that gets me truly nonplussed with the music industry. If no agent has discovered these two, well, what's the point of writing songs anymore? I've got their links all over my web pages, here's two more: Two Days
and That's the Way We
Work. They've honored me by putting the latter record on my label,
Vitalegacy Records.
I tried talking them out of it.
Here's what happened to Brenden, in his own words:
"After leaving KGB, Kearney took a few years off to 'turn within'
and subsequently morphed into transgendered songwriting sensation
namoli brennet.
(Note to children: Remember, before morphing into a
transgendered
songwriting sensation, ask your parents' permission first!) Asked to
comment, Brennet's enigmatic response was, 'Two roads diverged in a wood,
and I, I was never really much of an outdoorsy person anyhow.'"
As for me, well, you can always keep tabs on me at www.swingdrummer.com. Just don't look for Lindy Hop music -- from
any of us. It wasn't a choice, it was a time that brought us all together. Songs are songs.
As much as our paths may have diverged, I'm confident that you'll appreciate what K, G and B
have done in the past, what we've played with recently, and what we will do in the future. We
each thank you for your impeccable taste. And we hope you are still with us!
TELL IT.
